Someone please explain to me the purpose of seating charts and how the heck I am supposed to know who needs/wants to sit next to each other?

Hmm…I think the secret to seating charts is to NOT sit people by each other who wouldn’t get along and then fill in around that! Otherwise the theory is that it’s a more fun dinner/party if you mix it up a little and sit guests next to people that they don’t already know…

Yeah, I think seating charts are for keeping relatives and friends who hate each other seperate. Divorced Parents and such… I think. I dunno. Who cares. If someone fights, consider it free entertainment. :) Weddings are supposed to have drama.

seating charts are to avoid fights and uncomfortableness. as already stated above. but, to add to that…if people are on a “fighting” level they’ll fight, especially at weddings…weddings fuck with people more than any other event.

seating charts are also for you online friends (or work or otheriwse random friends that you want to invite but don’t fit in otherwise), like me, who know nobody else and don’t want to feel like an ass while there (seriously) so you sit the most random with the other most random and then they’ll just go with it – like Ms. Melanie said.

Um, can I bring a girl as my date to your wedding so i’m not there alone? lol

I won’t know anyone either! You’ve got Krista working. Oh no! I’m going to have to talk to my HUSBAND! :(

      I said ‘and guest’.
Since when does the word ‘guest’ denote male company?
